Got some new photos of Tyler with Nana and Grampy Carey and with Grandmom and Grandad Kahn. He was quite the star at only about 20 minutes old...that's why I look so exhausted!

Tyler's First Walk

On August 3, 2009 we decided to bundle Tyler up and head out for a walk around the neighborhood. He had no idea...he slept the whole time! But it was sure nice to get some fresh air.

Auntie Julie and Uncle Tony Visit!

By the end of the first week of his life, Tyler had met all of his new Aunts and Uncles. Tony even flew down from Montreal to meet him! They had a nice little nap on the couch, male bonding to the extreme...Tyler made it through bath time, once with Tony and once with Julie and proved to really love the water!

7.27.2009-7.29.09 Visitors Arrive!

Tyler's first few days were busy with getting to know our new little man as well as friends and family visiting. Tyler proved to be quite a popular addition to our family! We stayed at the hospital until Wednesday morning, then packed up bright and early to head home and introduce Tyler to his brother Zepp. Lots of new beginnings in store for baby Tyler!

7.27.2009 Tyler is Born!

So...my due date of July 22, 2009 came and went...Mom was in town to help me get the house ready for Baby Carey's Arrival. We washed windows, cleaned dust bunny's, and shopped, but Baby Carey was in no rush to arrive. I was due to be induced Monday July 27 but woke up with contractions on Sunday morning July 26 at 2AM. I let Eric sleep until about 5, but then woke him up to begin timing. We went to the hospital at 6AM because my contractions were every 3 minutes! We were at the hospital for about an hour and then they told us to go home!! We got home about 730AM and waited it out. About 430 things got a little stronger and we headed back to the hospital where I was told to walk around for an hour!!! Around 10PM it was time for my epidural and things settled down a bit. We got all set up in our room and had a short visit from Mom, Dad, and Julie before Eric and I settled down for a little sleep. We got to sleep through the night with only a few interruptions from the nurse! At about 630 we woke up and were told it was time! A few phone calls were made and by 915 baby Tyler arrived! He was absolutely the most amazing baby we had ever seen, love at first sight.
